A couple of comments on the beta:

    1. In the release version, you can set an attribute to “none“ when you've decided to not set it, but in the beta the drop down simply shows a blank. Works, but ”none“ is more helpful and clear.

    2. I'd like the advanced styles to auto-complete (e.g. text-shadow) and to display some help in the info window.

  3. Beta 7 has me using Style Master again.

I had been using CSSEdit for the last month or so as earlier betas were causing problems and it appeared that no progress was being made.

Thanks Dave - hope you enjoy the new versions - let me know if we've addressed your issues, afaik, we have

Olie, none is different from the blank - blank will remove a value if there is one set - none is a keyword that many properties take that essentially is there to override inheritance of a property.

Is there a specific value I can check - something may have gone awry

    thanks again

  5. John,

Please keep the option blank. 'NONE' clutters the option screen and unlike Olie, I find it distracting.

    Hi Storyman,

none and the blank have two different purposes - none is a keyword that effectively stops inheritance for some properties.

  7. Hi John,

    Thanks for the clarification.

Is the upcoming version going to allow a user to select either IE or FireFox as the preview display? I've always thought it odd that every CSS editor uses IE as the display preview, but we all know that CSS should first be built against FireFox, then modified for IE (when necessary).

Maybe it is just a programming thing and can't be done reasonably.

    Hi Storyman,

indeed, it is very very difficult, and introduces most likely far more difficulties than it solves. We'd be very keen to do this, and have investigated it, even to the point of a very alpha version, but it really isn't feasible at this stage.
