"An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down."

I looked through the forums to find a solution to this and couldn't find one; with the last thread going completely off topic.

I tried throwing the the preferences away, then the preferences and plist away. Then threw away every reference to Style Master I could find and re-installed the 4.6.1 version. I still get the crash whenever I save even a simple comment.

I like Style Master, but I really need it to like me as well. Is there any additional information to resolve this issue?

  2. Yeah, this is a pretty obscure bug - I don't really have much of an idea how to fix it.

Perhaps your best bet at the moment would be, after un-installing 4.6 would be to try the latest release again, which at the moment is: http://westciv.com/beta5/stylemaster5rc2.dmg

normally trashing all the preferences fixes it up, but it sounds as if that didn't work for you..

Sorry I couldn't be more help,
    Guy

Appreciate the prompt reply, tried StyleMaster5rc2 and got the same results. I went ahead and used your bug report to send you what happened.

Realizing this; and in your reply, that it is an obscure bug and probably not fixable, I think it's time to move on and try a different CSS editor.

Really liked your product, but oh, well.
